right now I'm not really sure what this line of fashions is called. to make it even more confusing, this Monster High Frankie Stein Fashion Pack seems to be shipping with 2 different groups of fashions. the front of the box features Frankie's new icon. Mattel seems to be replacing the personalized Skullettes with different symbols now.
the back of the packaging shows a cartoon of Frankie wearing the fashion, and smaller images of the other 3 fashions this one originally shipped with. the blurb tells us that Frankie goes to the all night "die-ner" for pie when she's hungry.
in what is becoming Frankie's signature move, she is combining some bright colors together that don't usually occur outside a crayon box. her outfit consists of a baseball tee that is bright blue with red sleeves and collar and a skirt. the skirt is silvery with red, blue, and black hexbolts and a black waistband. the suspenders are attached to the skirt and are silver with red and blue X's on them. wave 2 basic Frankie has volunteered to model for us.
I really like the shoes that come with this fashion set. they are blue highheeled sandals with red straps. they are really well sculpted and not character specific, so they are good for future mixing and matching.
Frankie's purse has a lot of cute details, and it actually opens. the handle is silver and looks like a lightning bolt. there are two electrical sockets on the front of the purse (great detail Mattel!) and strips with screws running on either side of it. the purse is molded in silvery plastic, with painted blue panels, and black accent stripes. the back is identical, minus the outlets.
at the die-ner, Frankie has ordered her favorite pie- purple with green icecream on top. this comes attached to a light blue plate. she also has a fork with a little bit of purple on it. to wash that down, Frankie has some sort of a drink, that is molded out of orangy translucent plastic with more green and a little molded straw sticking out of the top. well, it is monster food. (warning: small parts!)
The Bottom Line:
The Good: great separates, cute accessories
The Bad: some small parts
The Verdict: if you enjoy redressing your dolls the Monster High Frankie Stein Fashion Pack is a good set to get.
