while I wasn't a fan of the original sister pack, I really thought this Dragon Games Holly O'Hair doll looked neat.
the back of the box features a full cartoon of Holly with a pink dragon. it includes a short bio about her dragon and small cartoons of Holly and 2 of the other gals in this line.
with the plastic out of the way you get a better look at Holly, and can also see that she comes with a booklet, child sized ring, silver hairbrush and stand.
Holly's fashion consists of two pieces, a pink sleeveless top and purple leggings. the top has gold threads woven in and a halfskirt of see-through pink fabric with gold filigree printed on it. the purple leggings also have a gold filigree printed on them.
to accessorize she wears a gold crown with lots of molded in details. there is a jewel that has been sloppily painted purple. she has a ... combination necklace and shoulder armor? that was molded out of gold plastic with a very nice silver paintwash to bring out all the molded in details. it looks really nice, and I don't understand why they didn't do this with all her accessories.
on her right arm she wears a gold bracer with molded in details and a gold multistranded belt. like I said above, a paintwash would be really nice.
on her left hand she has some kind of weird bracelet. it looks very organic, like it's supposed to be a leaf or something, but I don't understand it at all.
Holly wears gold wedge heeled boots. unfortunately the heel is not even so she can't actually stand on her own. they have lots of molded in details including some flowers on the ankles that were painted in pink. a little more paint and these would be really special.
like her sister Poppy, Holly comes with a dragon booklet and a human ring/doll size heart-shaped shield with an "H" on it.
The Bottom Line:
The Good: pretty doll, nice accessories
The Bad: skimpy paint application
The Verdict: Dragon Games Holly O'Hair would be a nice addition to an Ever After High collection, especially if you are a fan of more powerful looking princesses.
