continuing in the Barbie Style Flats-to-Heels line, we have Barbie in a black jacket. she comes in the same OCD aggravating asymmetrical packaging. I also had to pick her up online.
the back of the box features photos of Barbie, her accessories, and some of the other dolls in the line.
with the plastic out of the way, we can get a better look at Barbie and all her accessories.
Barbie's fashion consists of a sleeveless grey Tshirt, a pair of retina-searing magenta pants, and a black jacket. the pants have black top stitching for details, and to mimic a zipper fly and pockets. the jacket is made of a vinyl like material and has silver ribbons sewn on to mimic the zippers on a motorcycle jacket. the Tshirt has sparkly pink patterns printed around the neckline.
she is packaged wearing a very nice pair of black heels. they are closed toe and have an ankle strap. these are going to get a lot of use in redresses.
her second pair of shoes is a nice pair of white sneakers. there are four black stripes painted on each side that kind of make them look like old school Adidas. they are very detailed and even include molded in shoe laces. these are going to get a lot of use too.
her final accessory is a small black purse. it has lots of nice molded in details, including studs, tassels, buckles and zipper.
The Bottom Line:
The Good: pretty articulated Barbie, good mix/match possibilities and shoes
The Bad: difficult to find
The Verdict: if you're into redressing and poseable dolls, Barbie is probably worth picking up. if you're going to leave her boxed, she's probably skipable.
