Blondie Lockes is part of the second wave of Ever After High dolls. she is the daughter of Goldie Lockes, in case that wasn't obvious from her name.
she comes in the standard storybook packaging. the back features her full size cartoon and bio. in the bottom left corner are smaller cartoons of some of the other characters.
with the outer plastic removed we get a little better look at Blondie and what she comes with. she has a story bookmark that designates her as a Royal, a heart shaped purse, and a gold hairbrush that matches the base of her stand that is sandwiched between cardboard layers.
Bondie's dress is really cute in spite of being made of that crappy faux satin material that I hate. the bodice is cream colored with a blue key print on it. it has a collar and cap sleeves made of blue netting with a yellow bow at the throat. there is black detailing for buttons and a plackard.
the skirt attaches at the waist with a bright blue ruffle. it fades from cream to blue and has little three bears vignettes on it that look like old story book illustrations. underneath her dress she wears a pair of blue tights.
Blondie's shoes are molded in black plastic, with a little bit of brown paint at the top to simulate fur. I guess they're supposed to be little booties and have keys in place of the heel. there are lots of molded in details but you can't see any of them due to the lack of paint. I really don't like these shoes to be honest. maybe because they are black and I feel like they clash with the dress.
to accessorize, Blondie wears a pair of gold earrings with dangling key and bear charms (Parental Warning: all jewelry is tiny parts!). these are really well detailed for items that are so small. she also wears a bright blue bow headband with a tiny molded bear in front of the knot.
on her right hand she wears a tiny gold heart shaped lock ring. at least I think that's what it is supposed to look like. the molded in details are very shallow.
on her left wrist, Blondie wears a gold charm bracelet. there are heart shaped locks, keys, and tiny bear charms on it. I really like the details in this piece as well.
her final accessory is a gold heart shaped lock purse. the handle of it is painted bright blue to match her headband. it also has molded in filigree detailing that stands out fairly well even without paint.
The Bottom Line:
The Good: cute character and accessories
The Bad: tiny parts!
The Verdict: this is the first issue, and basic version of, Blondie Lockes, so if you're collecting Ever After High, she's probably the one you'll want to pick up.
