Dead Tired Robecca is one of the dolls in the 3rd wave of my favorite line. the Dead Tired line is creepover (read: sleepover) themed, and features all the ghouls in their pajamas. unfortunately this wave has not been carried in regular stores. it is only available online and in smaller stores. I got mine at BigLots.
the back of the box features a cartoon of the 3 ghouls in this line Spectra, Robecca, and Lagoona all yawning. there is an inset closeup of Robecca's face and a quote of her wishing "sweet screams" to her friends.
removed from the outer box we see that Robecca comes with few accessories and no stand or brush.
Robecca's jammies are pretty cute. she has a light blue camisole with black and white sprocket print. it has black ribbon straps and black ruffles on the front only.
with this she wears a cute pair of blue sprocket print bloomers. they have a black bow at the front waist and black ruffles around the legs. there are more black ruffles across her butt (these are why I'm calling her shorts bloomers).
her sleep mask is very steam-punk and inspired by her goggles. actually, they really just look like a 2-dimensional version of her goggles. it's pretty cute.
the above picture also gives you a pretty good look at her face. she has the same sprocket irises as her basic, but her makeup is a little softer. if you're OCD about paint like I am, be sure to pay attention to her eyes. I ended up having to settle for sub-par sewing to get good eyes, but I felt my chances at fixing some sewing was better than repainting.
Robecca's fuzzy monster slippers got a brand new mold. they have goggles molded into the top of them in place of any ears (or fins). they were cast in a metallic plastic with the goggles painted on in black. also unique to her slippers is that the eyes are painted rectangular.
Robecca brought her black iCoffin to the party (Parental Warning: small part!). it has a sticker screen, and various buttons are molded into the sides. the back features the Monster High skullette along with a little molded in camera bump.
and now for one of the cutest accessories ever featured in Monster High- a victrola speaker dock for Robecca's iCoffin. this piece has tons of little molded in details. the speaker cone itself is shaped like the Monster High skullette. around the top and bottom are studs that have become part of Robecca's motif.
the base is painted black. the sides have molded in filigree designs that were painted black so you can actually see them (thank you Mattel!). the entire piece looks like its made of bolted together sheets of metal. and there is a slot in the top that the iCoffin can rest in. I really love this piece.
The Bottom Line:
The Good: pretty doll, cute jammies and accessories
The Bad: difficult to find in stores, small part (iCoffin)
The Verdict: Dead Tired Robecca has been somewhat difficult to find, but I think she's worth looking for. she's lovely and comes with a really awesome victrola accessory. if you enjoy deboxing and displaying, or playing with, your dolls, she would be a great addition to your collection.
