I was lucky enough to snag a Home Ick Abbey & Heath set on amazon last week, and a Music Festival Abbey at Kroger. I still can't believe Kroger has been more reliable for new Monster High dolls than any of my other local stores! FYI: Venus seems to be the most popular in the Music Festival line, with Abbey in a close second, so you should probably grab them when you see them.
I was also able to get the Target exclusive Skull Shores 5 pack finally, and during their sale no less. Super excited about that. it was also really neat to meet a local Monster High fan. a local girl had decided not to buy it, and as her mom put it back I squeed. I thanked the girl profusely.
so hopefully I'll be able to get reviews up for those soon, along with all my long delayed ones. I had intended to work on them while accompanying my hubby on a work trip, but the overseas internet connection and my lack of right-mouse button on my laptop keyboard was too frustrating. anyone have suggestions for a good bluetooth mouse?

Scaris Deuce has been nearly impossible to find. I lucked upon a return at Toys'R'Us. [update 11/27: he has been available on amazon again the past few days!] while he may seem like an unlikely addition to this line, it is interesting to note that Scaris is the first line that includes all 6 of the original characters.
removed from the outer box you can see that Deuce comes with his overnight bag, and nothing else.
interesting side note: the instructions he came packed with were not updated to show the new wrist joint for the male dolls. this has me curious to know if the wrists separate like for the girls, or if the guys are only supposed to be taken apart at the elbows still. anyone know?
for his excursion to Scaris, Deuce wears board shorts and a sleeveless hoodie. the hoodie has a bright green background with yellow scales printed on it. the shorts have a light grey background with dark green and dark grey argyle patterning.
as you can see in this next picture, the hood doesn't actually fit over Deuce's head. not even close. you can also see his dark green sunglasses, black earring, and painted on arm scales. while all these details are nice, the hood not fitting was a huge disappointment for me.
the final part of Deuce's ensemble is a pair of black loafers. these have snakes painted on the tops that wind around the Monster High skullette.
Deuce's final accessory for his trip is his overnight bag. the main body of the bag is black and opens via a hinge in the top. the front has his skullette on it and the entire bag is covered in molded scales. the base and handles are molded in a bright green plastic with molded on buckles and other details
The Bottom Line:
The Good: new Deuce, with articulated wrists
The Bad: hard to find, hood does not fit over head
The Verdict: if you missed out on wave 1 Deuce this has been Deuce's only other release, and will probably stay that way for a while. if you are at all interested in the character, I advise you to pick up Scaris Deuce if you see him.

In typical little sister fashion (pun not intended) Howleen has raided big sister Clawdeen's closet. first she borrowed Clawdeen's dress from the Wolf sisters 2 pack. I think the green bodice contrasts nicely with Howleen's orange hair. the dress is also ever so slightly less scandalously short on her than it was on Clawdeen.
next she borrowed Clawdeen's sweater and belt from the second basic Clawdeen. she decided that Operetta's capris looked better than Clawdeen's purple leggings. to accessorize she borrowed big brother Clawd's hat and her only pair of fitting shoes.
finally she decided to try on the dress Draculara forgot after a creepover. honestly, I think Howleen pulls it off better than DLaura does...
